In March 2023, DJ Fatxo came to public notice over claims that he was involved in the murder of Kenyan businessman Geoffrey Mwathi. Sources claim that the deceased was last spotted with the musician just before he passed away.
According to a statement made at Kasarani Police Station, the singer, his driver, and his cousin asserted that Geoffrey Mwathi accidentally fell from the tenth level of Redwood Flats on USIU Road.
DJ Fatxo recruited Mwathi on February 21st, 2023, to redesign the inside of his business and workspace. After discussing the possibility with the DJ, the dead went out with him to a number of nightclubs where he was due to appear.
