Peggy and Nathaniel Prescott. are the parents of Dak Prescott. He has five siblings who were raised in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Prescott completed high school at Haughton. As a 3-star prospect, he received scholarships from several colleges, including Memphis, TCU, North Texas, LSU, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, and Nicholls State.

Dak accepted Mississippi State’s offer and made the Southeastern Conference’s first team twice. In the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys made him their selection.

The 2016 NFL offensive rookie of the year took part in two Pro Bowls. He has spent seven seasons as a Cowboy and has won four NFC Offensive Player of the Week awards.

Prescott’s mother, Peggy, is of European American origin, while his father, Nathaniel, is of African American descent. The marriage produced three sons and a girl.

The day Peggy and Nat divorced fell on Dak’s first day of school. She then raised the kids while working a lot of overtime at the Huddle House truck stop and restaurant. They lived in a three-bedroom trailer in Haughton, Louisiana.

Peggy was the offspring of a high school principal. As a senior, she began dating Nathaniel in 1979, and Bleacher Report claims their relationship was taboo.

Her kindness and acceptance contributed to Dak’s growth as a leader. Dak’s mother was at almost every game during his first two years at Mississippi State. They would always talk before each game.

Peggy tragically lost her battle with colon cancer on November 3, 2013, at 52. Dak was a sophomore at Mississippi State at the time. Dak established the Faith Fight Foundation in her honour.

On Mother’s Day in May 2021, he organized a fundraiser to gather money for research. By working with a SU2C Colorectal Cancer Dream Team, the funds raised assisted the following early career scientist to enhance the fight against colorectal cancer.

Prescott routinely posts pictures of Peggy on his social media pages, showing his love and admiration for her. He wears the number four because his mother was born on September 4.

Dak Prescott and Nat, who is his father, get along incredibly. He even surprised him with a birthday celebration at a Cowboys practice on July 29, 2017.

Prescott developed a love for the Cowboys through his father and extended family.

Previously, Nat had driven a hired car in the Louisiana oil fields. He moved to Austin to pursue a new job and eventually started driving a city bus there.

In a magnificent mansion worth $3.3 million, Dak currently lives in Prosper, Texas, with his family.

He was raised in Louisiana despite being born into poverty.

Prescott shows that he is still connected to his heritage by identifying as Louisiana Pride on his Twitter bio. He grew up among his brothers Tad and Jace, sister Natalie, and him. One of his siblings is Elliott Prescott, an older half-brother from his father’s first union.

Dak, Tad, and Jace used to make everything into a competition when they were kids. There was a competition over who could take the most food bags out of the store. The three lads have tattoos on their bodies that depict football-related imagery.

The Brother of Dak, Jace, was an offensive lineman in college.

Jace was five years older than Dak, born on May 10, 1988. He started attending Northwestern State in 2008 after completing his education at Haughton.

He played offensive line in college, and his last game was in 2009. Jace majored in both psychology and general studies.

Jace was Peggy’s primary caregiver when she was battling cancer. According to FOX News, he tragically went away unexpectedly in April 2020 at 31.

Natalie is the lone sibling in the house. Dak and his sister Natalie Prescott-Smith attended a performance by Kate Quigley in April 2018.

As seen by a picture Kate tweeted, they attended both concerts and were seated in the front row. The only sibling in the family, Natalie Prescott-Smith, stays out of the public eye and doesn’t use social media.
